Olivia Lord
Life Enrichment Coordinator & Death Doula-
Olivia’s journey in this field began during her Leading Age PA internship with Friends Village. Her outstanding work led to her being hired for a full-time position. With a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Arcadia University, and a current pursuit for her Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University, Olivia is driven to be a trustworthy, empathetic figure in residents’ lives. She is also a certified death doula with training from University of Vermont. Olivia is driven to provide compassionate support and education to individuals and their loved ones at the end of life. Her interest in death doula training was sparked by her undergrad senior thesis on the health impacts of grief in older adults, which was influenced by her experiences during her internship and her observations while living with her grandparents.
Outside of Friends Village, Olivia enjoys reading, thrifting/antiquing, and attending wrestling shows!
Barbara Heverly
Marketing Associate-
With nearly 10 years at Friends Village and more than 20 years of experience in long-term care, Barbara brings both a wealth of knowledge and a genuine love of people to her role as Marketing Associate.
Barbara often serves as one of the first friendly faces prospective residents and their families meet when exploring Friends Village. For her, those conversations are about much more than answering questions or sharing information—they’re about getting to know the person behind the inquiry.
She especially enjoys hearing people’s stories and learning about the experiences that have shaped their lives. Barbara believes strongly that every resident is an individual, with their own interests, needs, personality, and story, and she takes the time to understand what matters most to each person and family.
A longtime member of the Newtown community, Barbara has called the area home for 50 years and has developed an extensive network of relationships throughout the community. She holds an Associate Degree in Marketing from Bucks County Community College.
Outside of Friends Village, Barbara enjoys walking, spending time with friends, and, most of all, time with her family. She lives with her husband, Jeff, and is the proud mother of one daughter and grandmother of three grandchildren.
Dylan Rice
Lead Maintenance Technician-
As the Maintenance Supervisor at Friends Village, I am committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. I oversee maintenance operations across the Styer and Paxson campuses, ensuring our buildings, grounds, and essential systems are maintained with care, reliability, and attention to detail.
My background in construction, facility maintenance, and team leadership has given me a hands-on approach to solving problems and improving our community. I believe preventive maintenance, responsiveness, and strong communication are key to creating a place where residents feel safe and at home.
What I enjoy most about my role is serving others. Every project—whether a routine repair or a larger campus improvement—is an opportunity to enhance the daily lives of our residents and support the mission of Friends Village.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, working on home improvement and restoration projects, and continually learning new skills. I take pride in leading with integrity, dependability, and a commitment to excellence in everything I do.
